Intro

Hi, my name is Kelly and I am a first year student at Vanier College in the Multimedia Integration programme. I remembered feeling all sorts of butterlfies the first day of school. I find the classes really interesting and the teachers are pretty cool. I consider myself to be an organised and a calm person. I perform best under pressure and is a perfectionnist at heart. I have always enjoyed art since I was young. I still remember spending most of my time drawing and doodling on anything i could put my hands on; i would even doodle on my hight school books during classes. I am still very much the same. At the age of 4, I took art classes every Sunday. I learned to think creatively and got to touch base with many different style of art (sculpting, brush and chalk painting,drawing...).

It really ignited a spark in me to learn more about the creative world. I always knew that science was not made for me. Most of my friends ended up in a science program while I chose to follow my passion for creating. It definitly scared me coming into this program and exploring this potentiel side of me, since I have not been in touch with my creative side since high school. Luckily, I made some great friends with whom I share common interests for designing and creating.

Design skills

I like to create and design.
Joining Vanier, I have gottten familiar with using applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Figma, Blender, etc...

I have always been comfortable with using technology as a tool to create (It is my comfort place). I also consider myself to be a fast learner. So far, what I enjoy the most is coding and creating my own 3D animation (aside from all the moments of frustration of course). It is not a statement I would have ever imagined myself saying. The sneek peak we got of programming in high school made me fear it. With the teachers and peers guidance, I am learning much and I have come to love and enjoy codding (It's cool!! :)) I can't wait to continue on this exciting journey and learn more about the industry of Design! :)
